Vision Engineering Italy awarded the first prize in China

We are proud to have been awarded the first prize at the “SongShan Lake Cup” Competition between Startups and Innovative Companies held in Dongguan on November 25, 2019.

The competition is organized annually by the technological district of “Songshan Lake National Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone”, one of the largest in China, with the aim of encouraging the most innovative companies to present projects for their development and acceleration in China.

Vision Engineering Italy at the China-Italy Best Startup Competition

Vision Engineering Italy srl will participate in the semifinal of the China-Italy Best Startup Showcase-Entrepreneurship Competition (BSSEC) in the “Health and Life Sciences” sector.

The BSSEC is a promotion program in the Chinese startup market coordinated by the International Technology Transfer Network and by Città della Scienza.

Giuseppe and Marco Lombardo will present the Chromo4Vis project which is introducing the first theranostic medical device in eye care. Chromo4Vis is a smart device for the personalized treatment of keratoconus, which is the primary cause of corneal transplantation in young people.

The event will be held at the Faculty of Medicine of the University La Sapienza University of Rome in Via Caserta n.6 at 9.30 am on October 11.

Chromo4Vis is co-founded by POR FESR Lazio 2014-2020

The Programma Operativo Regionale Fondo Europeo Sviluppo Regionale, or POR-FESR, is the instrument through which Lazio region, thanks to €14 millons made available by the European Union, has the scope to reinforce and sustain the growth of the regional firms, favoring the application of the Key Enabling Technologies (KETs) in all the specialization areas of the regional Smart Specialisation, including Life Sciences.

Vision Engineering Italy srl is one of the selected firm by Lazio Region for this growth program.

The POR FESR Lazio funding allows Vision Engineering Italy srl to engineer Chromo4Vis, which is the first available theranostic device for treating keratoconus, for CE approval.
